In Texas, the fallout from Hurricane Harvey rages on as floodwaters hit communities hard. There, Foursquare churches, like Life Church (Angleton Foursquare Church) and La Vida (Angleton Hispanic Foursquare Church) in Angleton, Texas, are praying with people and feeding more than 200 people living in local shelters.

Right now, Angleton is completely cut off from receiving outside supplies, reports Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR). Fortunately, funds can still be sent to support aid efforts already in motion.

Already, FDR has given $10,000 to Life Church to assist with their disaster relief efforts. They are asking for more donations to continue to respond as the hands and feet of Jesus through our local churches.

Meanwhile, the storm continues to affect Louisiana, and increasing rainfall may soon impact Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi.

FDR’s U.S. Operations Chief Gary Grubbs advises “pastors and congregations to monitor and follow the instructions of their local emergency services and also have good communication with districts on [their] status.”

Join us in prayer…

  1. Pray for the rain to stop and floodwaters to subside.
  2. Pray also for those stranded to be rescued, for the safety of those risking their lives to help others, and for endurance for those stepping up to serve.
