Making Christ's love tangible and real, both locally and internationally is the goal of all our outreach and missions efforts. Servanthood and evangelism take many different forms. Eastsiders are living out the gospel in their neighborhoods, in the city, throughout our region, and around the world.

February 14-25: U-turn – Sr. High - Uganda Team with African Children’s Mission. Team Leader: Brandon Brazee

February 15-16: Seattle District Mission Conference. $35/person. This conference provides excellent training for team leaders as well as mission minded believers. February 18-28: Manila Pre-school Educator’s Trip – An annual trip for our Eastside Educators and Associates to conduct workshops and trainings to UCPP teachers and coordinators. Cost is $1500. Please contact Patty Sabandal at Sabandal5@aol.com.

February 16-23: U-turn – Jr. High Mission to Penasco. Team Leader: Chris Peppler

February 28-Mar 8: Manila Medical Mission Trip – Cost is $1400. To conduct medical missions Among the UCPP pastors, teachers, kids and families of the poorest of the poor cities of Metro Manila. Medical experience is not necessary. If you have been called for this missions you are most welcome to join this trip. Please email Gary Requa at gary.requa@verizon.net.

March 26-April 12: Uganda Team with Africa Children’s Mission. Spend a week ministering in a rural Africa partnering with EFC Missionary, Maggie Josiah. If interested , please contact Leslie Eggerling at mjeggerling@yahoo.com. This team is limited to seven participants, so register now. Cost is $2500/person.

Summer Break: TBD – Sr. High – U-turn Extreme Home Make-Over Outreach Team Leader: Dawn Oas

May 25-June 6: Manila Basketball Ministry Mission Team Basketball camps, games and children’s ministry are all methods that will be used to evangelize in the slums of Manila. Cost: Approx. $1400. Please contact DJ Vick: djveastsidechurch.org.

September: Sending-Off: Bryant and Patty Sabandal to Manila, Philippines for 1-2 year of extensive missionary Training/work with Pete and Tina Forras.

October: Manila Music Mission Team This team will conduct concerts, lead worship and workshops among UCPP churches. For more information, please contact Tim Oas at timoeastsidechurch.org.

November 18-23: Ensenada Mission A great ministry to get involve with YWAM and Impact ministries. Building houses to selected families and to bless them of sharing a Thanksgiving Dinner with the all the team members. November 22-30: Bags of Joy Team Deliver hope and gifts to UCPP Pre-Schoolers. Families and individual are all welcome to join this trip. Please contact Brandon and Marcie Brazee at bbrazee@hotmail.com.

Short Term Mission Teams

Opportunities abound to put your faith in action. From Seattle to Manila... From cleaning up urban neighborhoods or ministering at a rescue mission, to building houses in Mexico... Eastsiders are expressing their love for Jesus in very tangible ways. You can still become a part of a life-changing short-term mission this year.

The Manila Project

Visit the Urban Church Planting Project web site to learn more about Eastside's involvement in an amazing community development project, which includes hundreds of church plants, schools, and other projects in the slums and squatter communities of Manila, Philippines.

Prayer Requests:

• For the 100 church planting teams that are leading the project.
• For the Filipino leaders in our project: President Val Chavez, National Church Planting Coordinator Mars Rodriguez, District Supervisors Rey Lucion and James Cristobal. Pray for wisdom, good health, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
• Continued prayer for all 100 church plants and 43 pre-schools that God would continue to provide all they need to be a blessing in their communities.
• For the upcoming teams.
• That corruption in the government, identified as a major cause for poverty, will be minimized if not totally eradicated.
• For God's wisdom on setting-up micro-finance savings /lending and livelihood projects to sustain these church plants.
• For evangelistic and church planting fire to keep burning against the backdrop of poverty and destitution in squatter communities.
• For our pastors/church planters to be kept and shielded from the evil schemes of the enemy, for physical health and harmony in the home.
• For the missionaries, Pete and Tina Forras, along with their three children (Cameron, Carina, Cassidy)
• For fruitfulness of ministry and the spiritual growth of our leaders.
• For excellence in leadership training and development
