SENIOR HIGH UTURN
UTURN - A ministry to High School StudentsInfluencing our Generation to live for God!
The emphasis of our gatherings is relationships - with God and each other. The main things we include in each gatherings are worship, the Word, and friendship and FUN. We meet in the Student Center (located in the North Parking Lot), Sunday mornings at 9:00 & 11:11, and Tuesday evenings at 7:30. With our focus being personal spiritual growth, we have a strong time of worship, Bible study, and prayer. Eastside Junior High UTURNInfluencing Our Generation to Live for God.Our Goal is to connect with the whole family and assist Junior High Students as they seek to discover who they are. Through creative interaction and exposure to the Word of God and authentic connection with people, we are challenging students to grow in their relationship with God as they learn how to influence their culture with the love, acceptance and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Uturn Junior High meets on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for a high-energy time where we take a look at everyday issues from God’s perspective. These gatherings are wrapped up in activities, times of worship, discussion groups and solid God-experiences. This is a time that will affect your junior high student’s lives forever! Wednesday Night Uturn – 7:00pm
One day you're moving along and BAM! Something hits you. You figure out that you don't like the direction you're going, but to get anywhere else you need to make a turn. A Uturn! Well, here's the place. A place where people much like yourself get together to experience what's down the other road. You don't want to miss it. Saturday Night Uturn – 6:00pmThis combined Junior and Senior High gathering is our smallest and most intimate gathering during the week. It is a small group discussion based upon whatever we are checking out in God’s Word during Sunday Morning. If you like to chat, ask questions are just like smaller groups of people; Saturday Night Uturn is definitely for you! Sunday Morning Uturn – 9 AM and 11:11am

Each year during February, a group of around 25 junior high students give up a week and travel to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico to serve the people of that city and share their faith in Jesus Christ! If you want to see God at work in a culture different than your own and gain experience when it comes to sharing your faith, definitely pray about coming on this trip next year! Junior High Summer Camp
How does spending a week in August on the lake sound? Climbing walls, paintball courses, water fights, and giant water blobs that shoot you high into the air are waiting for you at Lake Retreat near Auburn this summer. Come and join more than 200 other junior high students at camp this year. It is a great chance to leave the cares of life behind for a week and experience the living God through powerful worship, speaking, testimonies, small groups and a ton of fun activities. Always the weekend or two before Thanksgiving, just when your ready to pull your hair out over those projects that are due before Christmas break, get away from it all for a weekend and get filled up with an energizing weekend filled with worship, challenging teaching and great activities and downtime with all of your friends! Meet Junior High Pastor – Chris Peppler
Chris Peppler has been on staff here at EFC since 2002 and has been a leader in the junior high ministry since 1999. Chris came to know the Lord here at Eastside when he was a junior high student himself and his passion for young people developed as a response to leaders he had in his life that led him to the Lord. Chris graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2002 with a degree in Educational Ministry. He and his wife, Katrina, a sixth grade teacher at King’s Elementary school in Shoreline, have a young daughter, Savannah, and another child on the way. Together, they enjoy serving the Lord and setting a strong example for young people in their community! Youth Pastor Fun Facts:
