Join us IN PERSON for an outdoor midweek gathering at Eastside! Our time together will include worship, prayer, and an encouraging devotional. Please wear a mask and bring a lawn chair. We can't wait to see you!

The following is an outline of what you can expect. Please note that modifications made by the CDC, the governor’s office, and King County Public Health may impact our process.

  • Please use the driveways on 100th Avenue and park in the North lot. The South entrances on 145th Street will be closed.

  • We will gather in the parking lot on the West side of the building.

  • The Youth drop-off will be near the Northeast entrance of the building. Students will gather on the patio behind the Student Center.

  • Smiles under the masks of Eastside staff and volunteers.

  • Healthy individuals who have had a temperature check that day.

  • Hand sanitizing stations.

  • Socially-distanced arrangements.

  • Touchless offering through the Eastside Connection App, PushPay App, by mail, or at www.eastsidechurch.org.

  • Touchless communication through the Eastside Connection App, Facebook, Instagram, and www.eastsidechurch.org.

  • Family friendly gatherings, with households sitting together. Eastside Kids will not reopen at this time.

  1. Do I need to make a reservation to attend an outdoor gathering? Not at this time. We anticipate that we will be accommodate everyone who would like to attend. We will, however, ask everyone to check-in upon arrival. This enables us to follow-up with you should another attendee test positive for COVID-19.

  2. Why aren’t we able to meet in the Auditorium or indoors? Due to the current health guidelines for faith-based organizations and the audio/visual requirements for livestreaming a service on Facebook and YouTube, we don’t feel we can provide our church family with a quality indoor experience at this time. Let’s just say the audio feed in the Auditorium is less than ideal for an in-person service!

  3. Will we be required to wear a mask? Yes, please bring one! It’s a key requirement for everyone while on the Eastside Church campus—indoors and outdoors. Click here to view the State of Washington’s Department of Health face covering mandate. Masks will be provided for anyone who needs one.

  4. Will we be able to sing? Yes, as long as everyone is wearing a mask.

  5. Will I have to sit with my family, or can I sit with others? People from the same household are allowed to sit together. For all other interactions, we are encouraged by health officials to maintain social-distancing (at least six feet apart). Please bring a lawn chair.

  6. What about Kids and Youth Ministries? Youth ministries will begin meeting in-person on Wednesday nights on August 19. Unfortunately, we are not able to reopen Kids Ministry, but they are welcome to attend with their parents.

  7. Will we have access to a restroom for outdoor gatherings? Yes. The restrooms located off the Lobby will be accessible. Only two guests will be permitted inside at a time. Hand sanitization stations will be available outside.

  8. Will the Eastside Café be open? Unfortunately, we are unable to open the Café at this time.

  9. Will Eastside Church need volunteer help? Yes! If you are healthy, exhibiting no viral symptoms, and not considered “high risk,” we need assistance with the following for our outdoor gatherings and future indoor gatherings. Please email Alyssa at alyssad@eastsidechurch.org if you are interested. Check-In: Assist with check-in via an iPad or desktop station. Usher/greeter: Assist with seating, encourage people to socially-distance, and provide directions. Sanitization: Ensure restrooms, meeting spaces, and surfaces are disinfected in a timely manner.

  10. What other precautions is Eastside Church taking? Eastside staff is actively monitoring federal, state, and county public health advisories and requirements. Staff members are permitted to serve on campus and meet with church family members if they are healthy and exhibiting no viral symptoms. We have implemented a check-in system at reception for staff and guests’ temperature checks and hand sanitization. We have also updated our cleaning and disinfecting procedures.

*The CDC has determined that COVID-19 is highly contagious and is known to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. By attending a gathering at Eastside Church, you agree that you and/or your household members are healthy and symptom free, you will follow the procedures established by the church to protect attendees and staff, and you voluntarily assume the risk that you and/or your family may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 during a gathering. You further agree to assume all the risks of attendance and participation for you and your family, and you waive any liability against the church and any other parties.
